I carved a set of floral stamps from rubber erasers!
There are six petals, two leaves, and a round center that can be combined to make different flowers!
Here are a few things I stamped while testing them. I really wanted to try layering petals with a color gradient, but stamp pads are expensive (I didn't realize this until I went to purchase some) so I only bought white.
They are a bit difficult to line up so I will probably cut off the corners/excess stamp. I even used them to decorate a present:

Sharpie Decorated Egg Crates
I kept seeing the porcelain mugs decorated with sharpie on Pinterest and I had to do it too. These are my sharpie decorated egg crates:
I sort of followed these instructions from A Beautiful Mess, but ended up baking at a higher temperature and for a longer time because of various comments I read and doing some wash tests.
Now I have a sharpie decorated egg crate, a fancy place to put my eggs.

Embroidered Circle Purse
I finished sewing the dashes embroidery it into a purse!
It is a fairly large purse, the circle is 14 inches in diameter, but only an inch and a half deep so it isn't really a big purse.
This was my first totally-made-it-up-as-I-was-going sewing project in a really long time and I forgot how much sewing drives me crazy when you actually baste and press and pin!
Look at my zipper installation, I am very very pleased with how well I did:
What did I tell you, great zipper installation, possibly my best ever.
The handle caused me a few more problems, but it is attached and I put in some tacking stitches to hold it in place a bit better. These tacking stitches weren't really needed after attaching the other side, but I am going to leave them.
Update: I closed comments because I was getting way too much spam!

Dr. Pepper Ice Cream?
Another treat I made over Labor Day Weekend was Dr. Pepper Ice Cream. While perusing Pinterest I came across the recipe from Mary the Kay the Blog and thought that it sounded totally crazy and I needed to try it. My sister LOVES Dr. Pepper and since I spent the long holiday weekend with her I made it then.
Dr. Pepper ice cream is really more of a slushy texture and induces major brain freeze! It tasted like a a Dr. Pepper float probably tastes like; creamy with a cola sort of flavor. We aren't really fans, but it was fun to make.

Mozzarella
Over Labor Day Weekend I made some mozzarella using this recipe from Delectable Musings.
The cheese tasted like mozzarella, but it was a bit rubbery like cheese curds. I am sure the problem was that it was over kneaded. It wasn't very smooth looking when formed and it didn't really melt when I used it to make a pizza.
I am definitely going to make mozzarella again and next time I won't be so rough with it!

I have a poblano pepper and more on the way! So excited the blooms are no longer falling off! My first few tomatoes had blossom end rot and were kinda gross, but I ate a 'good' tomato last night (my first from this plant) and am pleased to say that Ananas Norie/Black Pineapple tomatoes are quite yummy.
my first poblano pepper. pepper plant. blossom end rot. good tomato. underripe and yummy.

Yarn Bomb No. 2
I put up another yarn bomb! They are sort of addicting; I can't wait to do more!
This one is on a bench, near a pizza shop that I frequent. I originally wanted to knit the entire thing with the lotus flower/star stitch, but it was taking FOREVER so I added in some stockinette stitch. This was a good way to try out a new stitch!
