Thermisto

I knit cables! And used two colors! Neither were hard to do! Why was I nervous? This slouchy hat pattern is Themisto by Tori Gurbisz and features both cables and color stripes, an excellent project for my knitting resolutions.

The hat is extra slouchy because I decided to knit the large size after reading people's comments about it being small. I think I could have twice the amount of hair and it would still fit inside this hat, but I do have a fairly small head for an adult. This hat has gotten me several compliments and I'm really happy with my color choices; 2014 is definitely a pink year! I'm not really sure what that means, but I keep saying it and using a lot of pink. I even wanted to buy a pink couch! Who am I kidding, I still want to buy a pink couch!

Now I want to take a minute to talk about the ducks! When I got to the park all the ducks started walking towards my car and I got really excited! I think they were expecting food from me, but I wasn't prepared for that so they began to wander away when they realized I didn't have any food. Luckily, when I was leaving a family arrived to feed them. Also, those geese about to land in the above picture were so loud! They came out of nowhere and surprised me with their honking! Here is a picture when I first got to the park; I was so happy the ducks wanted to greet me:
