I used a 63 cent flat metal heart ornament I found in the clearance section of Joann's for the base of my gem. All the other materials used to make the necklace I had on hand; dark blue and light blue nail polish, 'diamonds' from this bejeweled sweatband, glue, and ribbon. It looks pretty good considering it cost me less than a dollar. Now I need to find myself a white nightgown; there was an okay one at one of the thrift stores I went to last weekend that I may have to settle for.
