Tie-Dye

I did a little bit of tie-dye last week with my friends and can now cross of another DIY book project off my list! For each of the projects I followed instructions in the book Tie-Dye by Shabd Simon-Alexander. I made some white and coral shorts (following the Sunshine Tunic "chevron stripe" technique) and some faded purple cropped leggings (following the Geode Skirt "scrunching" technique).

The leggings didn't turn out as great as they could have because I didn't rinse well enough before washing them. I also didn't follow the dye bath times for the second and third colors because I was freaked out that they would turn black. Next time I will trust the instructions! Is anyone interested in tie-dying? I really want to dye some more things!
