Hippo Slippers

Yikes! It's Tuesday and I nearly forgot to post this morning; I've been busy enjoying the long weekend and it completely slipped my mind. Luckily I had a little reminder so I am sharing a project I knit for a Christmas present. I made my mom these cute hippo slippers!

The pattern is Feet Eater Slippers by Anna Hrachovec and I used Knit Picks Brava Worsted yarn in Seraphim (purple body), Cream (teeth), and Coral (the pink sole that you cannot see). I did end up making a Christmas Eve run to the craft store for the button eyes because I was keeping with my tradition of hurriedly trying to finish a knitting a project for my mom and I had forgotten to bring black yarn for the eyes.
