Over the last two weeks I have been growing wild yeast to giveaway to my friends and coworkers. I followed these sourdough starter instructions from the kitchn and have been growing lots and lots of happy bacteria that are making a lot of lactic acid and bubbles. To package the sourdough starter I got pint sized jars and made some hanging tags.
I included a sourdough pancake recipe I found on the internet and simplified the instructions to fit on the tag and a feeding recipe to keep the sourdough starter alive. Here is the sourdough starter after mixing it, check out those bubbles!
I think I'll be saving a bit for myself so I can make lots of yummy sourdough treats.
