October's Craft Book Club read was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson and instead of making something reversible like I was considering, I painted a two faced pumpkin! Yes, I'm sharing more pumpkin photos; I told you I LOVE pumpkins!
Katie, Chelsea, and I got together Tuesday for a crafternoon of pumpkin carving/decorating. I was lazy and did some simple single color paintings. My two faced pumpkin is one of them. It has the handsome Jekyll on the left and the discheveled Hyde on the right. Katie painted some Nightmare Before Christmas pumpkins and Chelsea carved a classic jack o' lantern.
Here are more pumpkin photos, I moved all the pumpkins off my front porch so people wouldn't trip over them. The mustachioed pumpkin was painted by Katie and the jack o' lantern and kawaii pumpkins were painted by me! I think more of the pumpkins need some decorating now.
In November we are reading Lucky Us by Amy Bloom. I need to hurry and read so I have plenty of time to make something!
Mom and nana should paint some!
