DIY Watercolor Kits

The present I made my Crafternoon gals this year were mini watercolor kits.

After searching for an inexpensive pan option, I bought some eyeshadow sets from a dollar store then took out all of the eyeshadows and washed the plastic. Next, after much deliberation, I picked the twelve colors for the palettes, carefully added them to the eyeshadow pans, and waited for them to dry.

The kits also have a color map included so there is no guessing as to what the colors will look like. To finish off the kit, I cut some watercolor paper into 6" x 6" squares so they could make lovely art.
