I'm sharing another crafternoon project from when I was away! Chelsea and I made some grapefruit shaped soaps!
It was a three step process where we first dyed some clear soap base pink and set it in a small cylinder. The second step was cutting the pink soap into wedges then setting it in a slightly larger cylinder with white soap base around and in between the wedges. Finally we took that soap and set it in a slightly larger cylinder with the white soap base dyed pinkish orange.
The process seemed simple enough, but finding the right size molds was difficult and we ended up only getting these three decent looking grapefruit slices. Anyway, they smell delicious and we melted down the reject slices into bar soap that works quite well even though it isn't cute.
I love these. We need to do soap again.
