Clover Lawn for the Bees

I decided that my Craft Book Club project for Our Native Bees by Paige Embry is adding clover to my lawn. Since we are in the hottest part of the year, it's not the best time to over-seed the lawn, so this autumn I'll be getting to work! I'm excited to give the bees some more pollen foraging spots!

Today I'm also sharing another project for Salt by Mark Kurlansky! Wendy made some salt preserved egg yolks that I tried. They were very salty, but good. Definitely a garnish only!

I've figured out our next three books! September will be Warlock Holmes: a Study in Brimstone by G.S. Denning, in October we will read The Vampyre by John William Polidori, and November is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott! If you have any Christmas/winter book suggestions for December, let me know in the comments!

  1. The egg white thing is interesting. You will have to tell me more about it.

    1. She made meringues with the whites, add sugar and beat them until they are fluffy. Then bake them. They are a fun cookie.
