Vampires and Other Pumpkins

My latest Craft Book Club project was two vampire pumpkins! The Vampyre by John William Polidori was so short and a bit uninspiring for craft ideas. I considered doing something with a dagger, but then decided carving or painting a vampire on a pumpkin is good enough! Over the weekend I did a bit of pumpkin carving at a Halloween party then had a crafternoon get together last night where we painted pumpkins. Here are a bunch of pumpkins, not all mine.

The first little vampire jack o' lantern was carved by me. Wendy also made a vampire jack o' lantern! and Kari's jack o' lantern is screaming about the scary vampires! The scar faced panted vampire is also mine, it has a little bat friend. The scull was painted by Katie, and the depressed Frankenstein's monster was painted by Chelsea!

Our next read is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I was going to knit some more slippers, but decided against following that Amy March pattern again so we will see what I end up with. Also, I'm still searching for a Christmas/winter book to read in December so if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!

  1. Love that your vampire is scar faced! I didn't notice that last night. All the pumpkins turned out cute. Mine is a little depressing but eh lol
