Mending the Pie Plate

I decided to still give the pie plate I made as a gift so I needed to mend the cracks. After searching high and low for the best solution, I ended up using gold leaf and some sort of glue even though it won't be food safe. It's a bummer, but I couldn't find an at home fix that would allow anything to be baked inside it. Here is how it looks now, the gold flake, and the cracks before.
