Seeds!

We are nearly halfway through winter and you know what that means... It's time to start planning the garden!

Untitled

Last fall, I found out about Row 7 Seed Company while reading Bee Wilson's The Way We Eat Now. They are a collaboration between chefs and plant breeders who select based on flavor and I am so excited to try some of their vegetables this year! So far I'm planning on growing six of their plants and I'm not entirely sure what else; I still have some seed shopping to do! I'm also taking an urban agriculture class that should help me make garden more productive. Here is the start of my plant list for the year. Things may change, maybe I'll find out I have enough space to grow more things!

From Row 7 Seeds:
Badger Flame Beet
Beauregarde Snow Pea
Habanada Pepper
Centercut Squash
Robin's Koginut Squash
898 Squash

For the Birds:
Sunflowers
Millet

Other Vegetables:
Brussels Sprouts
Corn
Pumpkins
Luffa
Garden Huckleberries
Tomatoes
Peppers

    1. i planted some clover in my back lawn last fall, but will be adding more seed this spring. I've got more flowers planned too, but the bees LOVE the sunflowers!
