Foraged Floral Arrangements

At the beginning of April, after being stuck at home for a few weeks I decided that I should bring the muscari that was blooming inside to enjoy. I picked out a cute little bud vase and realized the little blooms needed some greenery so I headed back outside to find some. Unfortunately, I don't have any evergreen plants in my yard and nothing was leafing out at that time. I did find some elm seeds that matched the vase, decided to use that, and so my first foraged floral arrangement was made. It turned out really cute and was just what I needed at the time! Since then I've found that making floral arrangements from foraged materials is a common thing! It's a lot of fun and free! Here are three little foraged arrangements that I have made.

I've had a few flops, like when I tried to combine cherry blossoms and rhubarb. The rhubarb was getting slimy and the cherry blossoms were on the way out and were dropping petals like crazy! I gave up on that arrangement pretty early into the design. Now that more stuff is blooming and growing I'll have more material options. If you make a foraged floral arrangement, send me a picture! I'd love to see how it turned out!
