Stone

The November Craft Book Club read was Sword Stone Table edited by Swapna Krishna and Jenn Northington. While reading, I realized I don’t know the King Arthur tales very well and now mini goal of mine is to read some classic King Arthur stories. I happened to find a little book on my bookshelf of King Arthur stories so now I just need to devote a little bit of time/energy to it.

Unfortunately I have failed at making my Craft Book Club craft. This is the worst fail yet because I didn’t just not finish, I didn’t even start. I’m mad at myself, but still have no idea what to make to represent any of the stories. Instead I’m sharing a “stone” I made years ago out of cement. This stone does have a hole, but no sword was ever in it.

Our next read is Hiddensee by Gregory Maguire. It is the backstory of the nutcracker and I’m very much looking forward to it since I enjoyed Wicked so much. I’m waiting for a copy from the library which is hopefully available soon! I’m excited to get started reading it!
