Cranberry Walnut Crumb Bar Cookie

I made bar cookies for my Craft Book Club project for Hiddensee by Gregory Maguire. Since the book tells the backstory of the creation of The Nutcracker I decided to make something with walnuts. The something I finally decided on was a very delicious bar cookie recipe from Sweetphi.com, Cranberry Walnut Crumb Dessert Bars. I definitely recommend you make them!

I've been thinking about how I have too much stuff and making a bunch of random craft projects goes against wanting to reduce the number of things I have. I've also been missing the cookbook club meetings I used to have with my friends so I decided that I'll make food inspired by the craft book club book. It won't be a fun potluck, but I will get to try a new recipe!

January's Craft Book club read is The Sweetness of Water by Nathan Harris. I would love you to share a recipe that you were inspired to make after reading too.

    Those look good! I definitely miss the cookbook meet ups. Even if I only did one. Lol.
