Needle Knitting!

I can't believe it. I finally got it. I didn't even have to take a class.

This is my knitting project. It will be a mitten. I decided a flat knit pattern would be best for my first knitting project. Here is the detail shot:

I am sort of combining two patterns and modifying them for the smaller yarn/gauge. I needed markers so I improvised by cutting up a magazine card and adding hole punches. They won't last very long, but they are working for now.
