I knit Morehouse Farm's Alligator Scarf for my mom. This guy took longer than I expected; I was knitting down to the wire and finally finished on Christmas Eve. It was really funny watching my mom unwrap it and try to figure out what exactly it was.
Sublime Yarn's lustrous extrafine merino dk in truffle was used to knit this scarf. It is very pretty yarn that has a sparkly sheen.
I LOVE him, he is wonderful and I get compliments when people see him.

Is there any way this could be done with a loom?
ReplyDeleteFollowing the pattern as written, I don't think so, but you could get creative and make something similar.
DeleteThe eye holes could be knit as extra cast on stitches then connected by sewing. The bumps along the back are made with a series of increases then gathered to form a 1/2 cup shape, you could do some sort of bobble instead.
Good luck! If you end up loom knitting an alligator scarf I'd love to see it!
