The first book was The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and I decided to make spiders!
There are a lot of superstitions in the book (my favorite is if you have a hairy chest you will be rich) and spiders are supposedly lucky; plus spiders make a few appearances in the book. I'm not superstitious (it's bad luck to be), but I found a spider superstition rhyme that I am sharing with you:
Kill a spider, bad luck yours will beI made these spiders by following this simple beaded spider tutorial by My Laughing Lion. They are made with white stone beads, black glass beads, and colorful wire! I gave the green spider a loop so I could hang it on a necklace. These spiders would look totally awesome on a bejeweled spider web! The amazing spiderweb is from Simen Johan's 2003 Evidence of Things Unseen.
Until of flies you've swatted fifty three.
Next book is Peter Pan by JM Barrie. I just started listening to Jim Dale reading it!
