Treats, Corn, Pumpkins, and Yarn Bombs

These are the things I have been doing lately:
Recently I made some fun and yummy treats. A peanut butter pie because I saw a yummy recipe, a frosted layered cake because we had cakes at work and I had frosting in my pantry, and strawberry shortcake because it was our coworkers birthday and we had lots of loaf cakes. Hopefully this week has fewer cakes and sweets than last.

Over the weekend I went to a corn maze with some friends and wandered around trying to find the waypoints. Part of the time we decided to not use the map and just call out 'left' or 'right' and go that way. During that time we passed a marker that someone had placed on a corn stalk twice and possibly non marked areas multiple times too. It was a lot of fun and a surprisingly warm day for the end of October.

After the corn maze wandering we went to the farm's pumpkin patch and found pumpkins to carve. I carved a face in my pumpkin because I always do (it's my thing), but this year my pumpkin's face is a little bit special because I saw the fun idea of making eyeballs in Martha Stewart's Halloween magazine. I pinned googly eyes to my pumpkin's eyeballs to make it extra silly.

And I'm working on a Halloween themed yarn bomb! Here is my progress so far:
