My Mickey ears were made with things I had on hand (some leftovers from making my pink pom pom earmuffs). I did buy a new white t-shirt for the occasion and decorated it with iron on velvety letters
This is how I made the mouse ears headband: I used a piece of round plastic canvas (not sure if this was necessary) for rigidity inside an elongated piece of felt (shaped kinda like a maxi pad, see photo below). The felt was wrapped around the headband then I stitched around the circle and along the headband to keep it in place.
