Garden Update

Everything is really growing now and it's nearly time to add all my little transplants! First I've got a honeyberry update: there are some little tiny berries that haven't gotten to a reasonable eating size and wouldn't be much of a harvest if they did. This may be a water problem in addition to a pollinator problem. I've got some research to do!

I've had a large rhubarb harvest and I keep having to cut back rhubarb flowers. There is quite a bit more rhubarb than in recent years now that the plants have fully matured and I may be getting rid of about half. Nine rhubarb plants is too many. The strawberries are blooming too! I keep looking for a berry, but haven't seen any yet.

With the last garden update I talked about the weeds in the alley; the sunflowers had already started to grow so I have been pulling weeds by hand instead of spraying herbicide. I haven't finished the area and there sunflowers are a bit thin in areas.

There is also lettuce, garlic, seedlings, and flowers growing!
