This blender is older than I am and once belonged to my parents. I sort of inherited it from my mother a number of years ago and used it with love until the motor burned out. I had seen people turning vintage blenders into lamps and thought that this blender deserved a second life.
To start this project I had to remove the motor, so with the help of my father and some various tools I was able to disassemble and remove it. Once the insides were cleaned out I was able to start wiring it as a lamp. After last week's electricity fiasco, I am happy to report that I figured out the wiring to make the on/off switch of the blender work the light bulb! It took some time and a bit of frustration, but I did it!
Now the blender is ready to start its second life as a lamp!
NOw you just need a few "silicone" ice cubes
