I figure I am about a third of the way done with the stitching. After I finish stitching I have to cut out the fabric and sew my project. I am not going to tell you what that project is yet, you will have to wait until I finish.

Yummies
I didn't have thread for my skirt and because I was too lazy to go to the store and buy some in time to sew it for this blog post I am sharing with you some yummies I have seen on the internets. I want to eat all of these.
1. Spaghetti Squash with Tomatoes, Basil, and Parmesan from Love and Olive Oil
2. Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese Sandwich from BS' in the Kitchen
3. Cozy Chili Bean Soup from Babble's The Family Kitchen
All the yummys were found on Foodgawker or Tasteologie.

Do you remember that purple and green fabric from oh-so-long-ago? Well, I decided I will be making a skirt with it. Here is my progress so far:
The pieces are all cut out and ready to sew. I just need to buy a zipper and get my sewing machine out of the closet!

Cardboard Kitty Houses
The lucky lady and gentleman have both received their present so I can share it with you now. I made cat houses out of cardboard boxes!
Kaylee was quite curious about her house she kept sniffing a certain spot. Kitty checked out all the 'rooms' then decided to take a nap on a chair.

DIY iPhone Bike Mount
I made myself a bike mount for my iPhone for less than ten dollars!
To make this I bought an inexpensive iPhone case from Ross ($5) and a bike bell/compass combo that was on clearance at Walmart ($4). The first thing I did was disassemble the bell/compass thing because I just needed the part that attached to the bike; I did this using a screwdriver as a lever, some large tin snips, and eventually a sander to to make the surface flat. Next I took some "Amazing GOOP" that happened to be in in the toolbox and glued the bike attachment to the back of the iPhone case and waited. So easy to make and it looks pretty too!

It's Tomato Time!
The Belize Pink Hearts are finally ripening and I can't eat them fast enough!
Here is my harvest from yesterday; I even have pretty purple peppers:
There were a few I didn't get to soon enough; they split open and bugs were eating them. I left them outside and am planning on saving their seeds and tossing the rest into my compost bin.
I have put some of the tomatoes into the freezer to save for soups and whatnot, but lots of them are being dehydrated:
Here is the batch I did over Labor Day Weekend. They are super flavorful and make excellent toppings for salads. Yum!
My spaghetti squash plants are still growing! There are even a few young squash. I can't wait to eat them!

I dressed up my new hoodie with a ribbon:
I found the idea to replace the pull string on a sweatshirt with a ribbon on I Spy DIY via Pinterest. It was a very easy project, the hardest part was picking the color of the ribbon! I want to make more.

It is now September and I haven't finished the August Stitch Along! Here is my latest embroidery progress:
That photo was taken Monday so I am a little bit further, but not nearly finished. I have been trying a few different stitches, a new one that I really enjoy is the scroll stitch.
Hopefully I finish this thing up before October!
