This project has been on my list for quite some time now; I was wanting to make a bag to store my homemade bread that would help postpone its staling.
It has been a while since I have made a loaf of bread and toast sounded yummy so I made some bread and sewed this bag to store it in.
I was planning on making a drawstring bag out of muslin to go inside, but for now I am just wrapping the bread in a tea towel (my previous bread storage method) to limit the crumbs.
The bag is made from oilcloth with a cute retro cherry motif and is sewed like a lunch bag with a square bottom. White ribbon is used to tie the bag shut and give it some frill. I am not sure how well this is going to work at keeping my bread from getting hard, but it looks pretty and I do like bread pudding!
This project used all previously purchased materials; my resolution to buy new craft things has been broken though. You will see in a few upcoming posts that I bought notions or other things to finish up some projects. I haven't bought any fabric though!
