Not Quite Me

This little thing is a work in progress portrait of me. For my Craft Book Club project for Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray I decided to paint a self portrait. I'm further along in my painting than the book. Here is what I look like so far:

I am using a small four inch canvas and started with too large of a brush. My background and general face shape are in place along with light place holders for my eyes, nose and mouth. I hope it starts to look like me.
