A Baby Pumpkin
The lawn pumpkins grew some longish vines and a few baby pumpkins under the long grass. Unfortunately I gave up on them after seeing a smaller-than-a-golf-ball pumpkin with blossom end rot and broke the vines when pulling up the irrigation line. The squash in the raised bed are growing magnificently despite the powdery mildew that has just gotten worse after a single rainy day. One of the vines is climbing the arborvitae to become the tallest squash or possibly escape into the neighbor's yard. Continuing my delayed gardening, I haven't started any of my fall crops yet, but there are a few cute snapdragons that are blooming! I'm curious how long they will survive. Any guesses?
