December Photos Week 4

Next year is next week and this is the last post of my weekly December photo series. I've started planning out posts for twice weekly blogging starting next year/week and already have a full year of books picked out in advance for Craft Book Club, a first. I did forget to pickup my camera for most of this week, but have a few snapshots to share today. I think photo taking will need to be a resolution!

It was Christmas and a full house! There was also crazy winter weather (I'm sure where you live too since it was practically the entire country) and we got our first hard frost, the ground was actually frozen. (I had just planted garlic the week before last because I'm a lazy gardener who kept putting that task off.) This little snapdragon is still surviving though. I'm very curious how much longer it will be around.

There was lots of food, including some sweet treats like these sugar cookies that we decorated. I'm a fan of my brother-in-law's "biblically accurate angel" and my sister's cute Santa. The lid of the peppermint vial was slightly ajar and it dried up so I added some milk and shook it up so we could flavor the green frosting. WOAH was it a lot of peppermint. Those cookies tasted like toothpaste and I wasn't a fan.

And now some photos of some Christmas tree decorations because there haven't been enough this month. My niece has a felt wall tree to decorate and redecorate. It is cute. I got another tree figurine for my collection. It is also cute. This is how I decorated a dieffenbachia, the first Christmas thing I decorated this year. It is also cute, but mostly silly. I'll be sad to see it go.
