Pumpkin Update

Some pink dahlias are blooming now too, but most of the dahlias have not. I think I'll leave the dahlias in raised bed this winter instead of digging them up and dividing them. Should maybe cover with some straw for a bit of protection though.

The surprise sunflowers finally bloomed too!

A bit of sad garden news: the little fruit on the random pumpkin plant that started growing from my porch decor last fall shriveled because I didn't water it well enough. It produced new flowers so I hand pollinated them to make sure they made fruit and there is a new pumpkin that is almost mature! I'm glad I'll have a pumpkin, but more than a little sad that I could have had a more than one.
